Description

Edward Hand

Physician and general in the Continental Army known for his service during the siege of Yorktown (1744–1802); he was appointed adjutant general to Washington in 1781. Endorsement signed “Edw: Hand,” dated October 28, 1792, on the reverse of a manuscript pay order, one page, 5 x 7.5, September 19, 1792. Hand signs to confirm receipt of £134.13.6 from Jasper Yeats. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
