Description

Liberace

ALS signed “Walter,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.75 x 5.75, personal letterhead, May 14, 1950. Letter to his father and stepmother, in full: “Thanks so much for remembering my Birthday again. It’s getting to the point in my life where they seem to happen too frequently. (is this a sign of old age?) I can remember how I used to look forward to them when I was a little boy and you, Dad, used to take me downtown and buy me ‘Toast and—,’ in Bowles lunch room and then candy at Fanny Farmers—(only it was lollypops in those days). I guess we all hate to see time pass too quickly but there are still many good things to come and my next few years look very bright according to present indications. Love to you both and Tommy.” In fine condition. The first handwritten letter from the famed musician that we have offered. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
