Two TLSs signed “F. Ziegfeld, Jr.,” and “F. Ziegfeld,” both one page, 7.75 x 10.5, personal and Ziegfeld Theatre letterhead. The first, dated January 4, 1916, a letter to Harold Greer, in part: “You favor to Miss Burke has been handed to me for reply, and I regret exceedingly that it is impossible to grant your request.” The second, dated June 9, 1927, a letter to Judge Slater, in full: “I take great pleasure in enclosing two seats for the Charles Lindbergh night at the Ziegfeld Theatre to witness the performance of RIO RITA, which I am sending you with the compliments of the Mayor of the City of New York and myself.” In overall very good to fine condition. Accompanied by a third letter bearing a secretarial signature, dated August 18, 1921, in part: “As soon as Miss Burke receives the script of the play she will decide upon, I will be pleased to let you know if there is anything in it that would interest you.” Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
