ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, September 10, 1992. Letter to Jim, in full: “Thanks for your letter. I’m glad to send some pictures for you & your kids. Jim, you asked me about being a star. Friend I really don’t know, except I’ve been very lucky in the music business. I’ve never considered myself a star. I’ve for the most part enjoyed playing my little guitar, writing and singing my songs. Sometimes it has gotten rough through the years. Going away from home so much is very hard for me. I’ve been home now about 1 1/2 yrs. I’ve had throat cancer, but I’m much better now. I was very lucky our good God smiled down on me. I’ll always be thankful for that. Jim, hope you get out soon. I’m sure your family needs you. Always remember God can use you wherever you are.” In fine condition, with a vertical fold along the left edge. Pre-certified REAL.
