Three ALSs, each signed “W. C. Bryant,” four pages in total, lightly-lined, ranging in size from 3.75 x 6 to 5 x 8, dated between 1865 and 1871. The first, in part: “I have also said that if you thought that the southeast lot as my place, beyond the woods would be tamed to as good account by planning it with apple trees as any other way.” Another, in full: “I thank your Committee for the compliment paid me in putting my name on the list of Honorary Managers of the Reception got up for the benefit of the Hahnemann Hospital. I accept the honor as a matter of course and if I should be in town shall make a point of attending. I am to go south somewhere about the middle of the winter and it may possibly be that I shall find it necessary to go before the 30th. of January although that is quite uncertain.” In overall very good to fine condition.
