The killer of John Wesley Hardin

Lawman and outlaw (1839–1896) best known as the man who shot John Wesley Hardin at El Paso’s Acme Saloon in 1895. Partly-printed DS, signed “John Selman,” one page, 8.25 x 13.75, January 24, 1894. State of Texas affidavit in which Selman swears that “one Bennino Vasques…did then and there in and upon Clotilda Jeremiah unlawfully commit an aggravated assault…and there unlawfully strike beat and bruise her the Clotilda Jeremiah with the intent then and there to injure the said Clotilda Jeremiah.” Signed at the conclusion by Selman and countersigned by an El Paso County attorney. In fine condition, with splitting along folds reinforced with old tape on the reverse. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
