Remarkable pairing of matte-finish 10 x 8 candid photographs of William Howard Taft and Woodrow Wilson in the presidential carriage at Wilson’s 1913 inaugural parade, individually signed in bold fountain pen near the bottom, “Wm. H. Taft” and “Woodrow Wilson.” In overall fine condition, with a missing corner tip to the Taft photo. These extraordinary images capture the essence of the procession as Taft turned the White House over to Wilson on March 4, 1913. Both presidents are visible in the two photos, as are American flags flying in the background. A wonderful pairing of rarely seen signed inauguration photos.
