Francis Bacon

Important British painter (1909–1992) best known for his grotesque, sometimes violent imagery often incorporating flayed human figures. Signed exhibition catalogue: Recent Paintings, 1968–1974. NY: Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1975. Softcover, 10.75 x 8.5, 24 pages plus unpaginated plates. Signed on the dedication page in purple felt tip, “With deep affection, Francis Bacon, New York 18/3/75.” In fine condition, with a couple tiny tears to corners of the die-cut window on the front cover. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
