Important Continental Army general (1737–1789) who served continuously from the Lexington Alarm through the British surrender at Yorktown. Revolutionary War–dated partly-printed DS, endorsed “Sam’l H. Parsons,” one page, 8 x 4, June 1, 1782. State of Connecticut Treasury Office document made payable to Samuel Parsons, in part: “The State of Connecticut doth owe unto Sam’l Parsons who hath served in the Connecticut Line of the Continental Army, the sum of Fourteen pounds Six Shillings and five pence.” Endorsed vertically on the reverse by Parsons. In fine condition, with several ink cancellation marks striking through his last name.
