Collection of three items, including: an ALS by William Jennings Bryan, signed “W. J. Bryan,” November 9, 1900, just three days after he was defeated by McKinley in the presidential election, in part: “We were badly beaten but the fight must go on. I appreciate the loyalty of the friends who went down with me”; an ALS by William H. Seward, signed “W. H. Seward,” April 29, 1841, to Daniel Webster, requesting “authority to speak for you and others at Washington”; and a check signed by agricultural inventor and businessman Cyrus McCormick, signed “C. H. McCormick, Chairman,” payable to John O’Neill for $75, September 23, 1882. In overall fine condition.
