Dr. Evil’s off-white sublair two-piece sailor suit worn on screen by Mike Myers in the 2002 comedy Austin Powers in Goldmember. The collarless coat with zippered front is embellished with silver embroidery on cuffs and neck, with anchor pins and buttons on epaulettes and neck, and a silver aiguillette draped from right shoulder. Includes additional sash. The matching pants are likewise lined in silver embroidery and feature button-fastened suspenders; the inner waist is inscribed on a sewn-in label in blue ink, “Mike Myers.” Also included are a pair of off-white leather Earl slip-on Hush Puppies, size 8M, with accompanying calf-length dress socks. In fine condition, with scattered soiling and wear from on-screen use. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from New Line Cinema, signed below by the company’s president, Jim Rosenthal. Inspired by the James Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld from the 1967 film You Only Live Twice, Dr. Evil is the diabolical arch nemesis of British spy Austin Powers, and is often accompanied by accomplices Number-two and Mini Me, and his Persian cat, Mr. Bigglesworth. This expertly made custom suit can be viewed during underwater scenes in which Dr. Evil and his cohorts scheme against Powers in their secret submarine lair.
