Baby Face Nelson

Three .45 caliber bullets said to have been recovered from Baby Face Nelson’s submachine gun following the deadly ‘Battle of Barrington’ on November 27, 1934. The bullets are encased in a 3.75 x 2.75 x 1 acrylic block with the attributing caption below. Also includes two small glossy 1934 press photos featuring identical images of Nelson, as well as a 1937 press photo of FBI agent Melvin Purvis and a Purvis ‘Junior G Men’ souvenir badge. In fine condition. Lester Gillis, better known as Baby Face Nelson, was tracked down by Purvis and killed by FBI agents in the Battle of Barrington shootout, bringing an end to the crime spree that made him ‘public enemy number one.’
