Magical rededication plaque for the renaming of famed early Disney Studio Stage 1 as the Annette Funicello stage, 11.5 x 12.5, with two raised images of Mickey Mouse in the upper corners, commemorative text, and a facsimile signature. The plaque is affixed to a heavy 17 x 16.75 wooden base. In fine condition. Stage 1 was part of the original Disney lot built in 1940. It was first used for filming the live-action scenes for Fantasia, and then later on as the film studio for the popular Mickey Mouse Club series. Funicello was among the most popular and beloved of the show’s Musketeers.
