Free frank, measuring 5.25 x 3.25 folded, opening to a size of 10 x 8, bearing a letter written by Thomas P. Jones to Thomas Fletcher, Silversmith and Jeweler, dated April 30, 1830. Panel is addressed in Jones’s hand to Fletcher and franked “M. Van Buren,” as Secretary of State, just below the “Free” stamp. Vertical fold through a letter of last name of signature and some scattered light soiling, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
