Original production-used script for the Twilight Zone episode entitled "The Encounter," production #2640, written by Martin M. Goldsmith, 27 pages, 8.5 x 11, February 24, 1964. The script also contains the opening and closing narration delivered by Rod Serling. In fine condition. Starring Neville Brand and George Takei, this episode was a part of the Twilight Zone’s fifth and final season. After being broadcast on May 1, 1964, complaints were received from Japanese Americans over the controversial wartime subject matter and racial overtones causing the episode to be omitted from US syndicated broadcasts of the series; it was not until 2016 that the episode was finally aired again in the US. This script was part of a production assistant's collection of original scripts from the series. While often reproduced, original scripts from the original Twilight Zone series are almost nonexistent.
