Rare 8-track tape of the Bob Marley and the Wailers album Rastaman Vibration, signed and inscribed on the label in black felt tip, “To Scoth [sic], Rasta Man Vibe, Bob Marley.” In very good to fine condition, with significant wear to the label (heaviest to reverse), not affecting the boldness and clarity of the signature. Accompanied by a detailed letter of provenance from the original recipient describing how he had it signed on November 15, 1979, when Marley appeared at the Wax Museum record store in Minneapolis to promote his album Survival. Rastaman Vibration was the only Bob Marley release to hit the top ten on the Billboard charts in the United States, with sales driven by popular songs such as ‘Positive Vibration,’ ‘Roots, Rock, Reggae,’ and ‘War.’ A generally scarce autograph in an even rarer format, this is a wonderful Marley example.
