Extremely early vintage circa mid-1962 purple ballpoint signature and inscription, “To Margaret, Love from John L, xx,” on the reverse of an off-white 3.5 x 2.5 card for another band from Liverpool, The Tenabeats. In fine condition, with ballpoint notations on both sides not affecting the signature area. Accompanied by letters of authenticity from noted Beatles experts Frank Caiazzo and Perry Cox. At this time the Beatles were still relatively unknown in England and they often performed at the Cavern Club, where the Tenabeats also played. Lennon would begin signing his name with a different “J” later on in 1962 and he rarely signed “John L,” making this variation of his autograph extremely scarce. Pre-certified REAL.
