Description

Stan Laurel

Collection of three TLSs, each signed “Stan,” dated from 1956 to 1963. The first, in part: “Re run-away car, what a nightmare ride that must have been for the guy—can you imagine, it sure would have been a terrific scene for L&H, the amazing thing, nobody got hurt. I must remember that, it would make a wonderful routine, could be titled ‘Touch & Go’!…I’m really scared to drive anymore with all these bloody maniacs on the road, your not even safe being parked.” The second refers to Oliver Hardy, known as ‘Babe,’ from 1957, in part: “Sorry to say Babe is still the same—no improvement, poor guy, really a sad situation (over 7 months now).” The third, in part: “I imagine you miss the Therapy Jack, you had a lot of faith in it—maybe you could figure out exercises for yourself like standing upside down with a finger in a bottle…I’ve got a million ideas you could work on, another one is that dance routine where you have to bend backwards & go under a bamboo pole.” In fine condition. Accompanied by one original mailing envelope. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
