Collection of three letters, including a scarce ALS and two TLSs, dated from 1911 to 1931. The ALS, three pages on two adjoining sheets, June 27, 1911, in part: “Mother writes me you would like me to speak at Old House Day…I cannot be sure I could be present…If I should be able to come I shall be glad to talk a little but I cannot undertake to be the principle speaker. I do not think the talking is very important anyway…P.S. I will also suggest Ernest Moore. C. C.” The second, from 1929, responds to a society wishing to present a testimonial; the third, from 1931, refers to cigars sent as a Christmas present. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light staining from onetime exposure to moisture and overall wrinkling and creasing to the ALS. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the ALS. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
