James Chadwick

English physicist (1891–1974) who was awarded the 1935 Nobel Prize in Physics for his discovery of the neutron in 1932, thus paving the way towards the fission of uranium-235 and the creation of the atomic bomb. Fountain pen signature, “J. Chadwick, January 1965,” on an off-white 3.5 x 1.5 card. In fine condition, with trimmed edges. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
