A., in which Sellers agrees to a six-year term of employment that “shall commence as September 1, 1978,” for a weekly pay rate of $2,885, requiring Sellers to “render services hereunder only in so-called Class ‘A’ photoplays, which the Employee shall play the leading male role.” Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Sellers. In fine condition. Before his untimely death at the age of 54 in 1980, Sellers was well on his way to fulfilling his contractual obligations with Goody Goody, starring in three films in a brief two-year window—1979’s The Prisoner of Zenda and Being There, and 1980’s The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu, the second of which earned Sellers his second Best Actor Oscar nomination.
