Letter to Justice Samuel Kalisch, who he had recently appointed as a justice on the New Jersey Supreme Court. In part: “I enclose a letter which will explain itself. The writer, my dear friend and former colleague, Professor Ormond of Princeton, is very much interested, as I am also, in an old time acquaintance of the family in the unfortunate Mrs. Martin and the other ladies of her household….We are anxious to see if Mrs. Martin can be transferred from the prison to an asylum.” In fine condition, with small spits to folds and a missing corner tip.
