LS signed “Benj. Harrison,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.75 x 7.75, personal letterhead, December 7, 1894. Written from New York City, a letter to W. C. Crane, in full: “I have your letter of the 4th inst. It is not very easy for me to identify the picture to which you refer as the picture of my grandmother, Mrs. General Harrison, without seeing it. The portrait of my grandmother is not in my possession; though I was very familiar with it in the North Bend home, and have some photographs taken from it. My grandmother is represented with a cap and in a dark dress. If you will show me the drawing some time when I am in New York City I can tell you whether it is a picture of Mrs. Harrison.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
