Tcherepnin, Chicago, June 27, 1953.” Tcherepnin pens six musical quotations from various works, adding a lengthy testimonial for the Steinway piano company, in part: “Since the time of my youth in Russia and all through my life Steinway Piano was my dearest companion; has helped me to materialize the musical thoughts, has incited for me for research in composition and in performance, gave me the best medium to communicate with the audience. I can not think of a more sincere way to express my relation to the beloved Steinway piano than to do it by citing just a few of my compositions for which Steinway was the source of inspiration.” In fine condition.
