Partly-printed DS, signed “John F. Kennedy” as president and “Robert F. Kennedy” as attorney general, one page, 19.75 x 16, September 20, 1961. President Kennedy appoints Paul D. Shriver of Colorado as “Judge of the District Court of Guam.” Signed at the conclusion by President Kennedy and countersigned by Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy. Golden embossed seal affixed to lower left remains intact. Tightly rolled and in very good to fine condition, with scattered overall creasing. Shriver was first appointed as the chief judge of the United States District Court of Guam from its inception in 1951 until 1959; this document marks the third time he was appointed, a term that expired in 1969. Highly appealing as a rarely seen document signed by the two Kennedys. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
