Letter to the cashier of the Beverly National Bank, in full: “I find that I have overdrawn my balance in the Beverly Bank. I enclose my check on the Hamilton Bank for five hundred dollars, to be deposited to my credit. Please excuse my oversight which I hope has occurred no inconvenience to the bank or my creditors.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Holmes’s own hand.
