“Wordsworth’s direction is Rydal Mount, Grasmere”

ALS signed “A Tennyson,” one page, 4.25 x 7.25, May 26, 1848. In full: “Wordsworth’s direction is Rydal Mount, Grasmere in Westmoreland or Cumberland—I forget which.” In fine condition. Two years after this letter was written, Tennyson succeeded Wordsworth as the Poet Laureate of Great Britain. A wonderful connection between two of history’s greatest poetic minds. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
