Description

John Dickinson

Lawyer and signer of the US Constitution from Delaware (1732–1808) who also served as an officer during the Revolutionary War. Uncommon vellum DS, signed “John Dickinson,” one page, 25.5 x 5.75, August 30, 1783. Land grant issued to Nicholas Depui for 166 acres of “a certain tract of land called Depuiston.” Signed at the conclusion by Dickinson as the president of the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania. Embossed white paper seal and ribbons affixed to lower right corner remain mostly intact. In very good condition, with trimmed edges, a small hole to center, and scattered soiling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
