Abraham Jacobi

Pioneer of pediatrics (1830–1919) who opened the first children's clinic in the United States. Superior matte-finish 4.5 x 6.5 portrait of Jacobi in profile, affixed to an 8 x 10 mount, neatly signed and inscribed on the mount in fountain pen, “To Mrs. Grace Ward his patient hostess and kind friend, from A. Jacobi.” Photograph is also signed in pencil in the lower right by the studio, “Griffin ’09.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
