Albert Sabin

American medical researcher (1906–1993) best known for developing a practical oral polio vaccine. TLS signed “Albert B. Sabin,” one page, 8.25 x 11, Medical University of South Carolina letterhead, May 26, 1977. Letter to Karl Geyer, in part: “Your letter…addressed to me at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel arrived here at a time when U was unable to attend to my correspondence. In accord with your request, I am sending you herewith a handwritten manuscript of a communication that will soon be published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a photocopy of Sabin’s twelve-page handwritten draft for an article entitled “Varicella-Zoster Virus Vaccine.” Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
