Three items: a manuscript Confederate amnesty oath sworn in Bedford County, Virginia, signed “Thomas Gross,” November 27, 1865, in part: “I solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the laws made in pursuance thereof as the supreme law of the land”; an ornately engraved uncanceled Confederate States of America bond in the amount of $1000, number 738, first series, as authorized by a February 17th Act of the Confederate Congress, one page, 16 x 27.5, March 1, 1864; and a nicely displayed collection of three original Civil War tokens and two 1960s postage stamps honoring the war, housed in a Postal Commemorative Society presentation folder. In overall fine condition.
