A framed ‘gag gift’ presentation from McDivitt’s personal collection, displaying an oyster shell mounted in a shadowbox above a printed quote, reading: “Apollo 9, March 3–13, 1995 [sic], The Lunar Module On Its Own. Five hard days of doing what had never been done before. ‘The cool courage of McDivitt and Schweickart as they went over the horizon in the unlandable LM was described as the bravest act since man first ate a raw oyster.’” In fine condition.
