Manuscript DS, signed "A. Burr," one page both sides, 8.25 x 12.5, September 1, 1815. A legal document requesting the court appoint a guardian ad litem for William Bradwell, "an infant...[who] cannot answer the said Bill nor defend this suit without having a guardian assigned for that purpose." In very good condition, with archival tape repairs to complete separations along horizontal folds. Burr eventually took this case to the New York Supreme Court, where he lost.
