ALS, one page both sides, 8.5 x 11, May 18, 1960. Letter to Philip Dale, in full: “Thank you for your letter. I find it hard to answer your questions as I have not re-read Point Counter Point since I read the final proofs, & have consequently forgotten what it says and unsays in the back-&-forth of its conterpoint [sic]. Only vague, broad recollections remain: the details have escaped me. So I cannot be of much use to you.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Huxley’s hand. Huxley’s longest and most complex novel, Point Counter Point was published in 1928 and consists of several interlinking story lines and recurring themes satirizing the intellectual culture of the 1920s.
