ALS signed “R. B. Taney,” one page, 8 x 10.5, July 28, 1845. Letter to a gentleman, in part: “As we are more ready with our amusements to leave home…we propose to set out on Thursday next. If therefore the day is not unfavorable, & nothing unforeseen happens to detain us, we shall be with you on Thursday.” Intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through two letters of the surname), some small creases and tears to edges, and trivial spreading to two letters of the signature, otherwise fine condition.
