John Tyler

Partly-printed DS as president, signed “J. Tyler,” one page, 8 x 10, November 16, 1842. President Tyler directs “the Secretary of State to affix the Seal of the United States to the remission of a fine of ten dollars, in the case of Adam Hewing.” Prominently signed at the conclusion by the president. A light horizontal fold passing through the signature, toned tape to corners, and show-through from a mounting strip to top edge, otherwise fine condition. Provenance: The Everett Fisher Collection. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
