In part: “I have made choice of Mr. Alexander Dimitry, one of our distinguished citizens, to reside near the Government of the Republic of Costa Rica in the quality of Minister Resident of the United States of America.” Signed at the conclusion by President Buchanan and countersigned by Secretary of State Lewis Cass. In fine condition, with central vertical and horizontal folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), toning, and light mirroring of ink. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
