In part: “The Commissr. of the Revenue informing me…that your stock of Oil was reduced to three months supply, and directing me to ship to you 950 gall’s by the middle of this month, I have engaged some Oil at New Bedford…If you should be in immediate want I think it would be advisable to get Capt. Maltbie to fetch it in the Cutter to New London. This mode of obtaining it would be the cheapest, most expeditious and certain.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
