ALS, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 5 x 8, December 5, 1934. Letter to Mrs. Hull, in full: “I am sure no one ever had so a dear a friend as you are to me—and I am more than touched by this new and lovely evidence of your thought. I know your luncheon was charming, and envied each of the guests. But the flowers and your missing me make up for everything except the last opportunity to see you. I am going to try to find you free very soon and—until then remember the happiness you have given.” In fine condition, with an expected horizontal mailing fold passing through a single letter of the signature and trivial mirroring to ink.
