TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Lakeville Baseball Camp letterhead, July 17, 1968. Letter to noted sports cartoonist, Willard Mullin, in full: “I certainly want to thank you for the two drawings that you sent on to me and certainly these are two highlights in my baseball career. Contrary to what you might think by the sound of your letter, I always thought you were tops and always felt flattered when I was the subject for one of your drawings. As a matter of fact the people here at the baseball camp with me are wondering if you have any more that you would like to send on to us as we would love to have them. So again I want to thank you for something that does mean an awful lot to me and my kindest and personal regards to you. Enclosed you will find your buck that you sent in your letter.” In fine condition, with slight scattered creasing and soiling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
