ALS in French, signed “Maurice Utrillo V,” one page, 6 x 7.5, August 2, 1945. Letter to an admirer, in full (translated): “Please excuse my tardiness in answering your charming missive. I shan’t say anything about my punctuality. People who know little about painting can have rather accurate judgment. I’m infinitely grateful to you for your comments about my picture. Please accept, Monsieur le Comte, my warmest greetings.” Annotated on the reverse in an unknown hand. In fine condition, with toning to top edge and trivial creasing. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
