Cesare Lombroso

Italian criminologist (1835–1909) whose theory held that criminality was inherited and could be anatomically identified. ALS in French, signed “Lombroso,” one page on a 3.5 x 5.5 postcard, December 22, 1908. Untranslated letter to Alfred Knapp, addressed on the reverse in his own hand. In very good condition, with uniform toning, mild soiling, and two large mounting remnants to one edge. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
