Impressive assortment of material related to the Gemini program. First, a color glossy 10 x 8 NASA photo of the Gemini 11 Agena tethered operations, matted to an overall size of 14 x 11, signed on the mount in black ink, “Charles Conrad, Jr.,” and signed again on the reverse, “I believe Dick Gordon took this picture. Charles Conrad, Jr”; second, an original canister of film from the Gemini 4 mission, measuring 10.75″ in diameter with a label affixed to the cover, in part: “Gemini 4 Onboard: Ed White EVA & IVA.” Contains one reel of 16mm film 800 feet in length and is dated June 1965. A copy of an inventory sheet is included which also adds,“GT-4 EVA External Camera…Astronaut White prepares for egress…Astronaut White leaving GT-4 for walk in space”; third, Gemini and Apollo-era space suit technician Clyde Teague’s personal softcover copy of Project Gemini: A Chronology, NASA SP-4002, which provides an illustrated time line of the Gemini project from 1959–1967; fourth, nine blueprints pertaining to the Voyager’s motor from the Aerojet-General Corporation dated 1965, ranging in size from 8.5 x 11 to 38 x 18, diagramming various parts for the “Retropulsion Motor.” Also includes a publication by the Aerojet-General Sacramento Plant dated April 22, 1965, containing a proposal for the “Voyager Retropulsion Motor”; and lastly a collection of copies of a blueprint and related documents for the three-axis hand controller for a Gemini capsule. McDonnell blueprint measures 17 x 11, is labeled “Specification Control Drawing—Grip Assembly, 3 Axes Controller,” with detailed schematics of the controller. Blueprint is stapled to several sheets including reports on both success and failure. Also included are multiple copies of Change Notice Request forms, regarding the “SCD Grip Assembly (3 Axes Controller)” dated 5/19/69 and a diagram of a Three-Axis Hand Controller copied from a page in Project Mercury: A Chronology. In overall fine condition, with expected wear and scattered toning and foxing. Provenance for the Conrad photo: Superior Auction, Fall 1998. Signed items are pre-certified Zarelli Space Authentication.
