Interesting collection of nine manuals and books related to World War II-era aviation and military, including: a softcover Pilot Training Manual for the Skymaster C-54 labeled “restricted,” dated August of 1945, features an introduction by General ‘Hap’ Arnold; a softcover Pilot’s Powerplant Manual, issued by the US Department of Commerce’s Civil Aeronautics Administration, dated October 1942; a hardcover manual entitled “Service and Instruction Manual Radio B-24D Airplane,” labeled “restricted” and prepared by the Flight and Service department of Consolidated Aircraft Corporation, published in 1943; a hardcover instruction manual entitled “Power Plant B-24 D Airplane,” printed in 1943 by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation; a Pilot’s Airplane Manual by N. O. Anderson, September 1940, issued by the US Department of Commerce and the Civil Aeronautics Administration; three World War II technical manuals issued by the War Department, entitled “Aircraft Electrical Systems (TM 1-406),” “Electrical Fundamentals (TN 1-455),” and “Aircraft Propellers (TN 1-412)”; an unsigned later printing of Aircraft Powerplant Manual by G. Burnell Manly, hardcover, published by Frederick J. Drake and Company in 1942; and a War Department Manual for Noncommissioned Officers and Privates of Infantry of the Army of the United States designated for Corporal W. J. Sands, who signs on the front pastedown, hardcover, published by the Government Printing Office in 1917. In overall fine to very good condition, with expected handling wear, foxing, toning, and ownership notations.
