Two items: an official color 8 x 10 NASA lithograph of the Apollo 8 astronauts posing in their white space suits, signed in black felt tip, “Frank Borman”; and an ALS, one page, 8.5 x 8.75, 1994. Letter penned on the bottom half of a letter written to him, responding to questions about a biography and Michael Collins, in part: “I wrote a book ‘Countdown’ with Bill Serling. It is now out of print. Mike was not to command Apollo 8. He was the command module pilot & was replaced by Jim Lovell after his operation.” In overall fine condition, with a few creases to bottom edge of lithograph. Accompanied by some commemorative Apollo 8 ephemera, including: two coins, stamps, and a thick press release detailing the mission. From the Leon Ford Collection.
