Five items: a color satin-finish 8 x 10 photo of Carpenter smiling in his Mercury suit in front of a large satellite dish; an official glossy 8.5 x 10 NASA photo of Carpenter in his full pressure suit preparing to undergo spacecraft checkout and training procedures, signed in blue felt tip; an official color 8 x 10 NASA lithograph of Carpenter in a suit and tie, signed in black felt tip; a Mercury Project and Messenger Mission Commemorative Stamps event card for a first-day-of-issue ceremony held at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on May 4, 2011, signed in silver ink; and a first-day-of-issue ceremony envelope from the aforesaid event, signed in black ink.
