(Walt Disney Studios, 1953) Original concept painting by Mary Blair featuring Tick-Tock and Captain Hook from Peter Pan, showing the pirate captain in a precarious position at the tip of the crocodile’s tail. Accomplished in tempera on 8 x 6.5 artist’s board. Triple-cloth-matted and framed to an overall size of 17 x 15.5. In fine condition. Besides providing concept art for several Disney features, Blair also created character designs for It’s a Small World, at the personal request of Walt Disney, as well as two murals for the Tomorrowland Promenade. Original artwork featuring Tick-Tock is difficult to find, particularly in such large detail.
