In part: “This is to certify that Wm. S. Brown entered the service of the Federal Army of Texas on 16 day of October last…he has faithfully discharged his duty as a soldier and is now discharged.” In very good condition, with partial separations to intersecting folds, chipping and paper loss to edges, and overall toning.
