Three packets of flown Rutgers California Supreme tomato seeds, 4 x 2.5, carried into space aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger on STS-41-C in April 1984, stored in the Long Duration Exposure Facility (LDEF) for nearly six years, and returned to Earth on the Space Shuttle Columbia on STS-32 in January 1990. Also includes two packets of Earth-based control group seeds, one for the same mission as the flown packets and one for the “Seeds in Space II” experiment conducted on STS-86 in 1997. In overall fine condition.
