King William IV

King of Great Britain and Ireland (1765–1837) from 1830 to 1837, he earned the sobriquet ‘Sailor King’ for his youthful service in the Royal Navy. Large address panel removed from a mailing cover, 10.25 x 4.25, addressed by the future king to the future prime minister, “The Right Honble Robert Peel, Home Office, Whitehall, London,” and signed in the lower left as Duke of Clarence, “Clarence.” Affixed to a larger scrapbook page. A central vertical fold, scattered soiling, expected postal marks and stamps, and irregularly trimmed edges, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
